Julia M. Yakovich, MPA, directs service learning and engagement initiatives for the University of Connecticut. In this role she is able to integrate her professional experiences and education to incorporate meaningful service learning coursework and projects for both the University and the community-at-large; non profit, government entities and business ventures alike. Yakovich ensures efficient and effective incorporation of service learning curricular strategies between university and partner stakeholders for mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships.

Anne Gebelein, Ph.D., El Instituto
Anne Gebelein received her doctorate, M. Phil., and Master’s in Hispanic Literatures from Yale University’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Prior to coming to UConn, she worked as an educational consultant for the Anti-Defamation League and the Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis, and as a translator in health care and law enforcement settings.
Anne is the Co-Chair for the Service Learning Committee and will be providing support for Service Learning initiatives during the fall 2018 semester.

Mackenzie Egbert, Undergraduate, MPP Student
Mackenzie is a current UCONN undergraduate pursuing a Bachelors in Economics and Masters in Public Policy. Mackenzie is participating in the MPP Fast Track Program and working for UCONN’s Service Learning Initiative program.
