Monica Miller-Smith

millerDr. Monica Miller-Smith is a professor in the Human Development and Family Studies Department at the University of Connecticut, Stamford Campus. Dr. Miller-Smith holds an Ed.D. in Education from the University of Southern California, M.A. in Speech Communication from Emerson College, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of California, San Diego.  Over the last several years, her students have performed service with Stamford Public Education Foundation’s Mentoring Program, Inspirica: From Homeless to Homes’ After School Program, and Springdale Elementary School’s Parent Board. Her teaching practices earned her UCONN Stamford’s Faculty of the Year Award for the 2011-2012 school year.

Dr. Miller-Smith also serves on the Service Learning Committee.
